PAUL M. CORWIN
(Deceased)

Mr. Corwin, co-founder of the Firm in 1995, first served as law clerk to the Honorable Samuel B. Sterrett of the U.S. Tax Court before joining Donovan Leisure Newton & Irvine in 1982, and subsequently, Reboul, MacMurray, Hewitt, Maynard & Kristol in 1984. Mr. Corwin's advanced education and extensive experience in the taxation arena formed a foundation for his effective and practical representation of clients in the areas of Tax, and Trusts and Estates.

In the area of Trusts and Estates, individual clients, many of whom have achieved a high net worth status, relied on Mr. Corwin's sound counsel and advice for financial, retirement and estate planning. Mr. Corwin's practice focused on the probate and administration of estates, including the appointment and substitution of estate representatives, the prosecution of formal and informal accounting proceedings, and the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns. Mr. Corwin frequently appeared before the New York State Surrogate's Courts in New York City, Nassau and Suffolk.

Mr. Corwin was extensively experienced in the area of residential real estate and successfully consummated hundreds of transactions over his five decades of practice, and was highly regarded by his colleagues, brokers, lenders, and other real estate professionals.

Mr. Corwin was equally qualified to represent clients in corporate and commercial transactions, employment agreements, deferred compensation arrangements, and other employee benefit programs. Mr. Corwin's Tax practice included domestic and foreign taxation and tax controversy resolution. The ability to have a single professional represent clients in all these areas, often inter-related, proved to be a great benefit to the Firm's clients.
