The following is a sampling of matters in this practice area in which the Firm successfully represented its client:

Skillfully negotiated and successfully consummated a multitude of residential real estate transactions involving newly constructed luxury condominiums and the resale of condominiums and cooperative apartments throughout Manhattan, as well as luxury country properties in Westchester County, upstate counties, and the Hamptons.

Successfully negotiated with the Sponsor of a new development for an Amendment to the pending Purchase Agreement for a multi-million dollar luxury condominium unit, permitting the client-purchaser to assign the Purchase Agreement, without payment of any additional consideration to Sponsor, and to publicly advertise and market the availability of the unit, all of which, as customary, was initially prohibited. The client-purchaser also retained its right to cancel the Purchase Agreement and to receive a full refund of its deposit, as originally negotiated by the Firm.

In addition, the Firm documented an intra-family loan from the client’s parent to enable the client to have sufficient equity to purchase the apartment, while satisfying the estate planning needs of the parent.

The Firm represented a “couple in transition”, helping them to sell their cooperative apartment and to develop a plan to invest the proceeds from the sale of their apartment for effective retirement and estate planning.
